Lena Steinle, M.A.

Research Assistant

Lena Steinle is a research assistant at the Department of Media Research and Media Usage at the University of Hohenheim.

After studying journalism at the University of Vienna, she completed a master's degree in "Communication Science and Media Research" at Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich. During her studies, she worked in the research department of an innovation agency, where she wrote her master's thesis on user behavior on online platforms in the open government sector. Afterwards, she worked for several years as a project manager in a market research institute in Heidelberg and Berlin, where she supervised international projects in the field of consumer research. Internal research activities on decision behavior brought her back to academia. Her research interests relate in particular to the selection and impact of climate reporting. In her dissertation, she focuses on climate change reporting.

Lena Steinle gives seminars on environmental and health communication as well as on research methods in the lecture and exercise "Media Research & Audience Intelligence". In teaching, she also likes to facilitate practice collaborations in order to combine science and hands-on learning.
